Guide for TDI Treatment

Safe handling

TDI is reactive chemical product requiring extra caution.

Accordingly, direct contact with skin or digesting should absolutely be avoided.

In case of inhaling its fume, lung’s functionional disorder can arise.

Proper ventilation is needed.

Note that ventilation is required (especially in sealed work area), and shall break any fume, immediate ventilation is needed.

Protective clothing should be used.

Rubber or PVC glvoes, and working clothes or strong apron should be worn.

 

Emergency measures

For skin and eyes

In case of skin or eye exposure, repeat to wash the exposed  area with clean water and look for a doctor if any kind of pain occurs.

 

In case of inhalation

In case the worker inhales TDI fume, place him immediately to the open area and then seek for advice from a doctor.

In case of fire

Chemically caused fire should be extinguished with powder, foam, CO2 and in case of extinguishing TDI-related fire, completely sealedprotective clothing and eye protection film should be worn.

 

The follwing extinguishers can be used as fire fighting equipments.
